Faculty Interview Coaching

You can have a flawless CV and still lose the position in a thirty-minute conversation. In online higher education, the interview is where offers are won, and most candidates walk in having never once practiced out loud with someone who knows what committees are listening for.

This is a one-on-one working session built to fix that. You will practice with the interview coach Dr. Babb uses herself; another professor with decades of experience hiring and placing faculty. When the founder of this company prepares for her own high-stakes conversations, this is the person she uses as a springboard.

Candid is the key word. This is not a pep talk. In your session you will:

• Face the questions committees are asking right now, drawn from real hiring conversations with deans, department chairs, and HR teams
• Answer them out loud, get stopped in the moment, and rework your answer until it is polished
• Hear how your responses come across to a committee, including the parts a polite friend would never tell you
• Learn what to ask when they say "do you have any questions for us," and what never to say in the room
• Rehearse your teaching demonstration if one is part of your process, with direct feedback on engagement and delivery
• Leave with specific, prioritized adjustments to make before interview day

Dr. Babb and her team have been placing professors into online teaching positions since 2003, and this coaching is built on hiring intelligence gathered directly from the people who make these decisions. Interviews in higher education follow patterns. Once you have practiced inside those patterns, the real conversation stops being a mystery.

How it works: After checkout, you will receive an email from your coach asking you for your discipline, and your interview date if you have one so your session is tailored to the exact room you are walking into. Sessions are held live over video conference and take between 1 and 2 hours.
